IT’S HAPPENING: Vince McMahon To Launch New Football League… NFL Panics

Daily Snark reports:

The Score – If Vince McMahon is, in fact, planning a reboot of the XFL, it may have a different name.

Amid rumors that the WWE CEO is interested in bringing back the defunct football league, Corey Jacobs of reports McMahon’s Alpha Entertainment has registered for trademarks on URFL and UrFL. The trademarks were filed by K&L Gates, which is the law firm belonging to McMahon’s long-time attorney, Jerry McDevitt.

VKM Ventures, another one of McMahon’s companies, has also reportedly filed trademarks for UFL, United Football League, and “For the Love of Football.”

Chris Harrington, who co-hosts the “Wrestlenomics Radio” podcast, tweeted screenshots of both trademark filings:

Breitbart reports:

With the NFL undergoing a nearly unprecedented decline in ratings, in-game attendance, and overall popularity; a bold and adventurous businessman with lots of resources, could consider launching a rival football league to compete with the NFL.

The WWE’s Vince McMahon is fits that bold and adventurous description and, reportedly, he is considering launching a new football league.

The first report of McMahon’s potential interest appeared on Twitter, via Brad Shepard:

“The WWE, when asked to confirm or deny a potential XFL reboot by David Bixenspan of, said this: ‘Vince McMahon has established and is personally funding a separate entity from WWE, Alpha Entertainment, to explore investment opportunities across the sports and entertainment landscapes, including professional football. Mr. McMahon has nothing further to announce at this time.’”

While that confirmation isn’t specific, it confirms the substance of Shepard’s report.

That’s great, I already dumped the nfl so this would give me new FB to watch, as long as McMahon does not drag along any of the nfl’s garbage. NO KNEE DRAGERS!

The cynic in me says maybe that’s what the plan was, to dismantle the NFL so a new league could grow and flourish. Hmmmm.

Well, if the new league stood in respect for our anthem and flag AND they were not self intitled druggies and abusers I would watch.
